Colors on Paper

My name is Frances Harrison and I’m inspired by Paintings by Matisse, Fairfield Porter, Manet, shapes and colors found in nature, expressive lines and beautiful color combinations. I love receiving feedback from my wonderful customers which inspires me to pick up the brush again and again.

I started drawing as soon as I could hold a crayon and never stopped. I won my first award at the age of 6.

I was educated in Fine Arts education. My creative career experience includes:
advertising artist, fashion illustrator, pre-school art instructor, art director for childrenswear, activewear & menswear. Currently, I’m a free lance designer for textile print.

My style (the loose sketchy stuff) is me. I love a sketchy look and always focus on the
quality of the line. Try to put as much expression in that line as possible. Will fill page
after page with sketches when starting projects.
Love to explore different techniques. Don't like staying between the lines.

I reside in Gloucester Point, VA.
