Paper So Pretty

Hi, I’m Michael Wolfe, the lead designer at Paper So Pretty since 2003. I have an unusual love for all things fun, cute, and pretty (sounds funny coming from a grown man!). I always have. I get my inspiration from several different places. As a designer I've always been open and aware to my environment. I love being around my creative peers. Bouncing off even the littlest ideas can set off our crazy imaginations. And then taking that inspiration and refining it, expanding it, and making it your own. The mind is an infinite space. Anything goes!

Much of my love and influence for design came early in life. My father was a military man. I spent many of my childhood years living in Japan. It was there I witnessed the work ethic and attention to detail of many Japanese people. That surely made an impression on me. But I'll never forget the full weight of that impression until a school field trip to a local traditional Japanese art exhibition. I can still remember being amazed at the color coming off their handmade paper. It was then I knew "Art and Design" would be a major influence in my career choice.

I try to keep design simple and not over complicated. Staying focused on the fun and emotional connection in peoples’ lives.

My family and our company with all of its creative, innovative team members, are based Houston, Texas.
